Its time for a new generation of maps with stunning quality.

I desided to try and create a map with a stunning quality and this is what came out of it. I basically drawed a simple map with just walls and tile effects. Next I exported the map as a mapexport.png opened it with gimp and edited it. When i finished editing it I added it into the map as a sprite. (Note that you have to create a floor and a wall picture) This took myself a lot of time but i think it looks pretty good.

Since I am using two very big images it might cause laggs i know.

So, I downloaded the map to see whats up. The lighting fails horribly, the 6-foot or so across river drowns me the moment I step in it, and there are tons of houses with only one entrance. (May be realistic but sucks for gameplay)

Not to mention the just plain annoying camping spot in the palms next to T spawn. Or the fact that the bomb spots are unmarked.

wait one moment you are saying that the map is bad because it uses an "easier" method ?

and i have to say it is not easier because dont forget instead of using a tile hundrets of times in a map i have to draw every pixel by hand. I cant just make a tile and fill the whole map with it.

Tilesets are harder to make than normal sprites, because you have to set every single texture by your own, and that's a shitload of work.

But it's not a tileset, so it's much easier, and the gameplay sucks too.

I really appreciate your comments and i will improve my maps in the future. So overall you guys didnt like the map gameplay and i agree with you this could be better.

But @user Christopher2643: i dont agree with for the map beeing laggy, this has to be something else.

And @user Sparty: yes i will make a script, i didnt say that its going to be the next thing i do.

@Seekay does it matter if its a tileset or not?
