OK I know the basics of modeling and animating but I need to know what program is suitable for Stranded 2 and supports it's format(B3D Format)

So what program should I use to create B3D?

Well, milkshape is good (actually not good, but the only one) for animate b3d. And I use 3d studio max for normal models }and it is reeealy good program!!) and after I export it to milkshape and then into a b3d file (I know it is possible to use 3ds, but I don't like to have 2 different file types for one thing...)

If you're looking for free options, you can model
in sketchup and export to .lwo, .obj & .dea formats.
(there may be even more exporters available)
Then you can use blender to texture it and export
to .b3d or .3ds (s2 will use .3ds and .x formats also)

I use DeleD (which i don't like) to do simple
.b3d -> .obj conversions.

I like it more than Milkshape

if you like DeleD .... then you'll love SketchUp
(and hate the number of steps required to convert to
b3d, but it's worth it)

I didn't day I like it, actually. Let's say I prefere all 3d modeling software than milkshape

I've yet to find a way to convert from Sketchup to B3d, even with the pro version.

How are you doing it?

-Builder

Pro versio:
export to .3ds or .obj, import into Blender export as .b3d

Standard version:
Use 3rd party ruby scripts to export, import into blender,
export as .b3d.
(I've found .lwo & .obj scripts so far)

Alternately. export in Google Earth format
(But NOT in Google Earth 4 format)
Rename the resulting .kmz file to .zip and extract
the collada files and textures.
import into blender, export as .b3d.

You usually have adjust the uvmap, reapply textures
and increase the models size by a 10x or 12x

Edit:
muwahahaha ....
Sorry just finnished a rough week at work ...
and I just found a .b3d exporter for sketchup
http://blitzbasic.com/Community/posts.php?topic=70531#788491
haven't tried it, yet, but will this weekend.
Looks like it's "no longer being developed shareware"

ouch ... poor milkshape ...
it doesn't say much for a commercial package when
someone preferes using limited ones with longer work flow.

Blender is too fricking hard for me So I'l just stick to Milkshape tough

Blender IS too complicated, i only use to fix uvmapping
changing texture names, and file conversion.
I use sketchup for the simple modelling psrt,
it's simple to use and can be very intuitive.
