I have made this topic in order to post and discuss CS2D Max Bugs that need fixing in the current version and in the future versions of CS2D. So I will start off...

Well I have been experimenting of why a script sometimes doesn't work in game and I've finally figured out the problem. If you have a script and you run the game, go into a server, and press one of your binds, you will see that your script will be working correctly until you go into the Options menu. At any point in game, when you visit the Options menu, your script will stop working until you re-run CS2D. I know the script functions aren't yet fully finished but this bug needs to be fixed.

Well, a lot of current bugs may be fixed by DC in the next release!
So, its unnecessary we talk about it until the new update...
First of all, wait for the new update, then we can
search and find, or not, new bugs to discuss them here!

mrc, that's like saying a beta software should not let its users give feedback until a stable release. So then tell me, why release it as a beta at all? Why not just release it as CS2D 1.0.0.0

I dont know what is his plans, but in this way, ok...
The problem is, people saying again and again
bugs that already were said...
And maybe, people can confuse about bugs
and suggestions, well, lets see what happens...

@mrc & leegao: that's off-topic, but i agree with leegao.
however, dc will either close the topic or leave it, we'll see

1. you can see the 'talking buble' through smoke. (this can be very bad in clanwars^^)

2. circa is right, whenever you change the options the files like config.cfg are overwritten and the settings are applied from these files. (so it can happen that your name changes, because in the config.cfg is another name set than you're using)
even if you use a userconfig.cfg and write 'exec userconfig.cfg' in autoexec.cfg, it will reset all settings, but won't apply the settings of autoexec.cfg and therefor it won't apply it from userconfig.cfg

3. it doesn't recognise comments in the .cfg files
bind "M" "say nothing" //says nothing
will work perfectly, but there will be an error message in the console, that the command //says nothing is unknown.

4. it can happen that you get a zoom with the knife. it once happened to me when i put a silencer on an m4a1 and then quickly switched to the knife. then i was in the first zoom mode of a sniper although i had the knife in 'my hand'.

5. sometimes the server doesn't update the position of players properly. it can happen that you walk from terror spawn to a bomb place, but all the others just see you standing at the spawn. you don't walk for them, you just turn around, shoot and change weapons. however the grenades are not thrown form the spawn, but from where you think you are (say bomb place). then it happens that a grenade suddenly appears out of nothing.
when you walk back to the spawn and get to your position where you got frozen (for the others) it fixes it.

When you get killed while the hostages are following you, the hostages while automaticly go to the person who you are spectating.

(I'm not sure if this bug is still working, there are very few cs maps)

When I play Hostage Rescue maps, I see a bug with hostages, they go into walls! I see that very times in cs_office!

@ guest: I'm not DC, but yes, a new version is comming. I know it because it says in the Unreal Software lab.
To see it, in the left side of the website, in the menu "Unreal Software" says "Lab". Click in there ;).

Player 1 has 9200 money
Player 2 has 1400? (Why is it always that number?)

Theories...
When you join the team you automatically start with no money. If the team loses you gain 1400 if you win 2500 (DC explained this in the Changelog.) But nevertheless, you should spawn what the server's startmoney is.
etc 1337 dollars.

Circa, I discovered that glitch in like the first version of Max...

devil ist right. hostages still have many bugs. the wall thing can happen if

- there are teleporters
- the guy who used the hostages died and now leads the hostages in spec mode (which is also a bug of course)
- you walk around a corner. hostages will not collide with this corner but they will run through it diagonally.

hostages just don't have collision detection at the moment. you wouldn't even notice this if there weren't the other bugs...

listplayers needs to show the IP and everything otherwise people are going to be pissed because they cant report any hackers at all.
You need a Admin mute button as well.

This bug is still working... √
I've experienced this kind of bug in my map.
It's very annoying though...

DC, I would like the pointer fixed.
On cs2d Max the pointer doesn't change colour when you point it at a CT or T.
Please fix this thanks.

Hehe, I know a lot of bugs in this version,
but I'll wait for the next release to see if
they will be fixed, if not, I'll say them here,
why do I dont say it now? Because I dont know
if they were already reported...

Lol, you think I don't know that?
The more complicated stuff has already been mentioned.
So I think most of it will be fixed in the next release.
I was just making sure DC knew of this so he could fix this too.
