Heya!
So, this is not the first time this has happened. My problem is, that after deleting some stuff on my PSP under Linux, the memory isn't freed.
I headed to Filer on my PSP (yes, I have it half-hacked, HENed actually) and found out that the files are not there. SO they are deleted, however the memory is still the same 400 megs, while it should be 1.5 gb. Any ideas except formating the MS?

Does PSP recognize ext formats?

Not at all, it wasn't designed to be run with any OS other than the one that comes with the PSP when you first get it, remember that an OS that was meant to be left alone was probably designed for very specific conditions ( hence why you probably couldn't install the PSP's OS onto your normal computer ).

Anyway, you need to check out what type of filesystem that the PSP originally came with, I do believe it was FAT16 and then format it accordingly. Good luck, it's gonna be a bumpy ride, mate.

It may recognize, I don't really know. Try to install some utilities to control your files on PSP and then delete some files via one of those utilities. I think there are some as homebrew applications. I haven't played PSP for a year, but I still remember some things. Also, if your PSP was bought in EU, you will probably need NTFS if you have GEND3.

I do believe it's NTFS if he bought his PSP in Europe.

NTFS and FAT are actually both highly unlikely, actually.
Plus, Microsoft hasn't sold usage rights for NTFS to Sony, so I don't think it would be NTFS.

And btw, here is proof aboiut FAT16:

PSP does'nt use FAT12 filesystem, it uses FAT16 or rather a custom Sony version of Fat16

I didn't try to install a PSP OS onto a normal computer. It's impossible.

No, I have 6.20 TN-C. It's a HEN, not a full CFW.
