A. They've admitted that's it's a new game that comes from combing elements from other games.
B. FF1 is a traditional top-down (in movement) and othro (in battle) RPG, with Turn-based combat. Terraria is a real time adventure game.
C. Just because a very select few elements are similar does not make the two samples equivalent. A dove is not a car just because they're both white and can move.
