Since, I started playing Stranded II again. I thought, hey why not make a mod? I never really actually finished my last one, and it was trashed due to laziness/lost files. Having flash backs I though of some of the maps I made, one was a map with it's own story and a great mod concept. So I thought, I'ma make this a mod. I put a few hours work into the map, and unfortunately lost the damn file since my PC froze some how and I had to restart it, I tried getting the temp save for testing the maps, of course the file was bad. So anyway, I'm thinking of making that map into it's own mod. As of now, this is only a concept first though. I wanna ask what you guys think of the idea. I'll list ideas and such, and leave it up to you if I should make it or not.

So for here. I'll list things with icons to show their...value..I guess. Whatever, anyway here's the list.

i like it and all, but there have millions of threads like this where people say, oh yeah ill add this and that and this and that...and then there's no sign of them 3 days later.
I'd suggest starting with a more realistic goal (replacing nearly all models(!)) and release in small chunks so we actually get to see some of your work

Well, I have a three year rep here, and my last mod was liked on a 3 outta five scale. I made some pretty nice maps back then too. I still hold the top three places for Stranded II mod maps. I just wanna hear what you guys think before I start working only to find no one likes the idea.

pro tip: make a list of all the things you want to implement and most important of all, make a clear concept, describing what the mod shall be about.

the things you listed so far are way not enough things/not detailed enough.

also, better remove the poll. I already said this in a german thread about a new mod yesterday, those polls are stupid and lead to nothing.

The big problem is that stranded was made in directx 7, it doesn't support too much detailed models. But did you tried to put the graphics in the minimun?
And by the way, the story mode lags in all computers after some days because of too much spawn infos. But I'm working on it.

But you can just take a little look at the sprint script in the sys folder.

Edited: The idea for the mod is really good. Contact me if you need something (except for models), I'll be glad on help you.

Some scripts in the sprint aren't needed, they was added to work with specialy functions of my mod. You need to filter what you really need to use.
