SATA - serial advanced technology attachment
IDE - integrated development environment
SLI - scalable link interface
FSB - frontside bus So what are they used for, mister wikipedia? well use Wikipedia like i did you'll found out, if you can read SATA: Serial ATA (Advanced Technology Attachment)
IDE: (or PATA) Integrated Device Electronics
SATA and IDE are both interfaces to connect massive storage devices to the motherboard
SLI: Scalable Link Interface - It's a technology by Nvidia that allows to link two GPUs making them able of parallel processing. AMDs solution is called Crossfire.
FSB: Front Side Bus - It's the bus that connects the CPU with the motherboard's north bridge. The faster, the better. sata&ide connects hard drives to mother board
I've heard of the others but never really gotten deeper than it's acronym. I knew about SATA but the rest whatever.
I'm not an engineer.

The FSB is usually used for overclocking/underclocking.
