Is nonsensicalness an actual word?
Anyway, if we did give machines an actual intelligence as us, we would be looking at war mechs being fired upon us.
Say you gave a missile a brain, to think and make its own decisions. It starts to think awhile about the world, then turns self-aware. So, it targets wherever humans are. Imagine that effect on all mechanical weapons.
Saw it on History Channel's "& things that can end our world". I believe it was Number 4 or 3, since with the military's mind, it's likely.

Possibly. But the programming has nothing to do with the body; the part about it being a missile is irrelevant. It's possible to get robots to have the same 'moral' coding as us, or an improvement upon.

the same rights that we endow upon ourselves.

dats a lie

the existence of 'human rights' is just part of governments' propaganda

yea i was thinking same thing, if we dont even give our own people equal rights, and are still racist even today, how could machines be given human rights?

Well, perhaps robots will be biological in the future. They've already conducted several experiments on using rat brain cells as a way to control an aircraft-simulator*. ( I find it sickening and horrible to poor little animals, but it is still very interesting )

Wiki has written
A robot is a mechanical contraption which can perform tasks on its own, or with guidance. In practice a robot is usually an electro-mechanical machine which is guided by computer and electronic programming.

I think that means they can't be biological, right? I'm not good with biology/mechanic therms.

If they are guided by electronic programming they cannot be called robots while being guided by brains.
