You mean something like support for voice communication? in example; being able to connect to a TeamSpeak server (optionally) whilst you're on a CS2D server? I guess it can be supported with Lua? I'm sceptical about that at this point, but probably it can be done with Lua someway.

@Marcell: I don't get the point. why are you asking this? do you consider to host a teamspeak server or do you hope that someone else hosts one?
in the latter case: Unreal Software is not going to host one.

@KimKat7: Teamspeak is a separate program on its own and you commonly use it manually with all games. so I don't see a reason to try to somehow automate it.
it wouldn't be possible with Lua anyway.

Can't be done with pure Lua for you need access to a person's microphone (and you need network access, of course). You could, however, try to write (a lot of) additional libraries and somehow get them to work in CS2D. Yet Lua is server-side in CS2D, so all players would still need a separate client.

TeamSpeak/Ventrilo are most likely highly optimized, causing the least disadvantage during play as possible. It's very hard, if not impossible, to create decent voip which doesn't cause any lags in BlitzMax (don't know about that though, I just think Blitz allows a little less optimization than C).

It wouldn't be full with kids as long as it requires a separate program (either they don't know about it, are too lazy to download it, don't have a mic, or don't know how to use it). Many serious and semi-serious cs2d clans have their own or shared teamspeak channel though, and it works quite good (as long as everybody has a decent microphone and connection).
