But you don't need the fishing area to fish, it's just needed to
fish close to a fish.
fishing areas do not run out of fish!
you dont need all that scripting stuff you did.
simply place a fishing area on the map, click on it again, set the radius and hit accept ( ).
you'll then automatically catch fish when fishing within the set radius. as far as I know you dont even need a worm or insect parts to catch fish in a fishing area when your fishing skill is low.
in order to have the player fish special items in that fishing area, click on it in the editor mode and store the items using the box that shows up. the player then will catch the different things in random order.
after there are no more special items stored in the fishing area info, it should continue to let the player catch fish instantly.

At least the closest one on the first island does. After i caught 100 fishes, which was indicated by skill level, i wasn't able to catch anything in this fishing area info. Since the second fishing area has same script as the first one i presume it's the case for the second area as well.fishing areas do not run out of fish!

P.S.: It goes without a saying that i tested it on vanilla Stranded II.

If you really want fish every single time you swing your fishing pole, just go to the fishing pool tool scripting, and change your random chance of catching fish.

At lower skill levels, without insect parts... it's possible to "run out of fish". Cause you fish out all the fish in the water. However, coral reefs etc spawn fish, so all you have to do is wait for the next day or increase your skill.

Um, i think you misunderstood the problem. I'm talking about fishing area infos, not areas where fish spawns from corals. In fishing area infos you catch fish each time you swing the fishing pole (unless the "depleted" state i'm talking about), hooks, baits and skill level are irrelevant (i mentioned it, because gaining fishing level 100 means 100 fishes caught).
P.S.: Should have asked this question in the first place, but is it possible to increase items stored in fishing area info through the assigned script?
