You may think that I'm not a specialist in this area of IT stuff, but I want to know what do you think about this: Does hostagers in Counter-strike 2D counts as NPC ?

Please vote for an answer in the poll.

You could just pm DC or any other scripter on unrealsoftware. It takes a minute.
But noo, you had to make another trash thread and add a useless poll on top of it so that any idiot that has no idea about cs2d whatsoever can vote..

Do you know why you did that? Because you seek attention without even realizing it. Attention whore. It's funny cause it's true.

Why should I? I made this poll for users, not for IT Pros. + I need it for Unreal Software Wiki.

no, hostages are technically no NPCs (logically they are because they are non player characters as well).

NPCs are a special type of "dynamic objects" (which are also used for buildings and mines) hostages have their own class which is totally unrelated.

the reason for this is that hostages have been implemented in the very beginning of CS2D when dynamic objects (buildings and NPCs) were not even planned yet.

It is beyond me how specialization in IT concerns the knowledge of whether hostages are NPCs or not.

From a purely technical perspective, I'm fairly certain hostages don't count as dynamic objects with the type ID 30, thus not being CS2D NPCs per se.

On the other hand, as user DannyDeth pointed out, from a linguistical perspective they are, indeed, non-playable characters.

EDIT: Well, user DC beat me.
